The PARASPORTS project aims to develop a cutting-edge Parasports complex in Uganda, designed to significantly enhance the lives of Persons with Disabilities (Special Needs Learning) through the transformative power of physical activity, sports, and inclusive education. This initiative addresses the pressing need for accessible sports infrastructure tailored to individuals with special needs, fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment within the Ugandan community.
To build and enhance infrastructures for Parasports, facilitating regular and sustainable physical activities and sports engagement for Special Needs Learning, thereby enhancing their quality of life.
State-of-the-Art Infrastructure: The Para sports Complex will serve as a specialized hub equipped with modern facilities tailored to accommodate various sports disciplines for individuals with special abilities.
Inclusive Education Center: Beyond sports, the complex will integrate inclusive education facilities, providing counseling, guidance, and educational resources to empower and inspire Special Needs Learning.
Collaborative Partnerships: Engaging with local and international organizations, including the Ministry of Education and Sports and Korean institutions like the Korea Institute of Sport Science, ensures comprehensive support and expertise in project implementation.
Community Outreach Programs: The project emphasizes community and junior participation, fostering a supportive environment and instilling hope among individuals facing challenges due to disabilities.
Alignment with National Goals: In line with Uganda's Vision 2040 and Sustainable Development Goals, the initiative contributes to enhancing productivity and well-being among the population, particularly marginalized groups like Special Needs Learning.
e-LEARNER Uganda consults various organizations to enhance project value. Ministry of Education and Sports collaboration involves Special Needs Learning Education and Physical Education & Sports departments. Korean partnerships are pivotal, particularly with Korea Institute of Sport Science (KISS), offering technical expertise and resource mobilization. AfroTv & PET International, Katalemwa Cheshire Home, and Uganda National Action on Physical Disability are existing local partners. Further consultations include Uganda Paralympic Committee and sport representatives during project feasibility.
They offer a comprehensive array of services, including consultation for crafting training programs, creating bespoke learning content tailored to company and management needs, managing and maintaining complete e-learning solutions, facilitating both active and passive tele-tutoring, and integrating e-learning seamlessly with in-person training (blended learning).
